It was so exciting to travel down to Oxford, Mississippi for this engagement session.  Marielle and Matthew are the absolute sweetest couple and to capture them in a place that was so significant to them… their college alma mater town, the place they first met and where their relationship budded… was just perfect.  I simply cannot wait for their Chicago wedding with Hello Darling Styling at The Peninsula Hotel next March.

Head on over to to see more from Gina & Tim’s stunning wedding day at The Blackstone Chicago Hotel.

“Most of us don’t need a psychiatric therapist as much as a friend to be silly with.”  ~Robert Brault

I get that this is an over-simplistic quote, but it sums up exactly how I felt getting to spend time with my friends Stefanie & Ivan this month in always beautiful California.  Whatever residual winter blues I had were washed away over glasses of Sangria, laughs, and stories of Europe with these two.  It’s such a gift to meet kindred spirits in this world that suddenly brighten your outlook and refresh your perspective.  Love you two!

  • Kina – I love these photographs! Thank you Kina for your company and for capturing these pics of my hubby and I – we will cherish them forever – and one day show them to our kids with the words “this were mom and dad when they were young” – lol :) It was such a blessing meeting you and spending time with you! Exactly what we all needed to recharge. Can’t wait to see you again – hopefully soon!ReplyCancel

It was a fun diversion to come back from my time on the West Coast and shoot Lily & David’s engagement session in still wintry Chicago.  IDE Christmas Tree Farm made for quite the romantic backdrop and I had so much fun romping around in the snow with these two. Can’t wait for the wedding in May!
