If you’re reading this page, most likely you are planning a wedding. Congratulations! This is going to be one of the most special times of your life; savor every moment.
When you contact me through email or phone, my preference is to set up an appointment to talk over your plans, desires and wishes, and to see if we are a good fit for each other. At the meeting you will learn more about my style, see my package options and some of my work, and will be able to discuss with me any special needs you may have.
Provided that we are a good fit, you may complete your booking at our appointment, or think about it a bit and book later. The contract will be emailed to you for you to sign and send back at your own convenience with payment by check or credit card. The deposit (1/4 of the package price) will be due at time of booking to reserve your date, with the final payment due the week before your wedding.
After your wedding has been booked, I encourage lots of interaction! Any questions you may have, plans you need help on that might affect your photos, advice or concerns: I’m here for YOU! I hope to be working with you on making your dreams come true!
Engagement sessions are complimentary in all of my wedding packages, simply because I think it’s a lovely opportunity to get to know my brides and grooms better and for them to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day! Because an engagement session, unlike the wedding, has some flexibility on time and date I like to schedule a day when the sun is shining and the weather is pleasant! I want you to have the best portraits ever and lighting is #1 when it comes to this.
Style is also key when it comes to loving your photos. Professional makeup goes a long way and props can be fun too! The outfits you wear can really make or break you session as well. Dress should be something that makes you feel comfortable and expresses your personality. To give you a visual, I’ve included a book below that will show you some ways to put together an outfit that looks great on camera:)
Your engagement session should be scheduled from 1 year to 6 months before your wedding ideally, and the photos will take from 2-4 weeks from the time of the session until you have them in hand.
I’ve been in love with weddings every since I can remember! I always get butterflies in my stomach on a wedding day… it’s my favorite thing to shoot. To have a smooth and “perfect as possible day” here are some tips to keep in mind.
Lighting: Lighting is so key in photography (it’s really what the word “photo” means!) so we will talk at length about the situations for the day and what natural and artificial light will be available and best for the photos you’ve always dreamed of. A good thing to keep in mind is that group photos and bride and groom photos are best taken outdoors after 2 pm or in the shade (sunset is actually the BEST) and the room where you are getting ready should have a large window if possible. I love the soft lovely look of natural lighting for these situations! If that is not possible, of course I will work around it with indoor lighting techniques, but I like to educate my clients on the kinds of lighting that produce different types of photos.
Time: A wedding should be an organic lovely time, so most of the day I will document what’s actually happening while I insert myself gently in the situation to present it in the best light if need be. This being said, I do insist on at least and hour for Bride & Groom portraits during the day so that along with the documentation of the day you have some memorable, artistic portraits that will help romanticize your day forever. It’s also a great opportunity for you two to relax and enjoy each other away from the hustle and bustle that a wedding always entails!
After the Wedding: Turnaround for processing your wedding photos is from 6-8 weeks. At that time you will receive a link to your gallery and any of the files you have purchased. Turnaround for albums is 3-6 months.
