In beginning the story of Jennifer & Jake’s day, I must say I was in a great state of mind before I even got there! The drive is GORGEOUS from Chicago to Peoria on a bright Autumn day like the one that dawned for them. When I pulled up to Jen’s parent’s house I was in an even more blissful state of mind when I saw the gorgeous old house. It was like a place straight out of my dreams… brick, sun porch, large backyard with old trees and of course perfect wood details inside of the house. Sigh…
The day turned out to be one wonderful scene after another; all bathed in the love that Jen & Jake have for each other. Toward the end of the night, I found myself tearing up during their video tribute… it showed their love through the years in such a vivid and meaningful way. They still have that same spark too… the same one I saw in their early dating photos. When I asked Jen about it, she said, “We’re just really good friends as well as in love. We were before we dated and now I guess it’s just an added bonus!” I have a sneaking suspicion with this outlook that the spark will be there in another 30 or 40 years…;)
