Ashley & James’ vow renewal could be described as nothing short of DREAMY. The day was only enhanced by the back story that these two share and the completely delicious looks that they gave each other every.moment.of.the.day. I wish you could hear their story from Ashley’s lips or even just the gorgeous vows they wrote to one another: there was hardly a dry eye in the place during the reading of them.
Ashley & James’ love began while actually living a continent away… he in England, her in the US. Their courtship was long and at times difficult and instead of tearing them apart it only made their bond that much stronger. After a small ceremony they were finally wed, but began planning a truly beautiful celebration where they could bring all of their closest and dearest together from around the world to share in the joy of their wedding. What they came up with was a page out of their dreams in my opinion. I felt privileged to be a part of this celebration… it is indelibly scratched onto my list of favorite days.
The day was relaxed… everything taking place at a venue I’ve always loved, the Public Landing Restaurant in Lockport, IL. On a side note, it’s such a great idea to do everything on your wedding day in one place. Every wedding day where the couple decided to do this had a special feeling to it… it truly lets the day go at a perfect pace.

When I saw the link to this post, my stomach started doing flip flops like as if today were the morning of September 9th, 2012! And looking at these photos absolutely takes me back to the wonder that was that day. I can’t thank you enough for your kind words, but even more so for the joy that YOU are and for the magic that you work with your camera!
So much for a productive evening! I am now going to spend the remainder of the night entranced by this!!

What a beautiful day you have captured! Even though I wasn’t able to get over to see my little brother renew his vows to my beautiful sister in law, these pictures have helped me to see what a special day this was for the 2 of them!
