Does it get any better than this? That’s the question I ask myself every time I meet a new family like the Benitez clan. I enjoyed this session so much and even got some good smiles from the dog! What a lovely family on a lovely fall day. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to get to capture the moments like these… Thank you Benitez family! You are beautiful!
For this session, Quinten was at precisely the age where getting your picture taken is not cool, and Paige was at precisely the age that it is the coolest thing ever, so my goal was just to have fun with them:) And I think we did!! They have a nice bond, and it’s obvious that Quinten looks out for his little sister in a tender way. Enjoy their silly pictures!

Karla (who you will see in an upcoming post in her wedding glory) contacted me first about photographing her upcoming nuptials. The photographs of her and Gabriella, her sister, were a special request of her mother. After twenty-six years, Karla had met the man of her dreams and was “leaving the nest”, and her Mom wanted some photos of the girls together before her first girl “flew”. The following was the fun mini shoot that was the result.
Sometimes I just feel so lucky with the clients that I get to photograph!! The M. Family was no exception to this rule! Stacie and Austin were high school sweethearts who got married, and are now living their happily ever after with two children (and one more on the way). Stacie is one of those moms who you can tell loves being a mom. She is patient, and has a sweet smile, and I admire her. Austin is a talented musician and businessman. What a great family. Here you get to see a little glimpse of “them”.
I have such a soft spot for big blue eyes… and all three of these cuties have them!! I enjoyed so much taking Nathan, Malachi & Faith’s Christmas pictures. They were not only adorable, but so well behaved. It’s doesn’t get much cuter than this ladies and gents!
When when fellow photographer Jamie of www.jamielopezphotography.com asked me to do her family photos, I was first very flattered. To have a successful photographer ask me to capture them in front of the camera; it’s something I take seriously!! So, thank you Jamie for trusting me with so much! Second of all, there’s always that butterfly feeling, knowing that you must be at the top of your game, because they know what’s what:) Thank goodness, I find a challenge fun, because photographing this family was a wonderful experience. It was the sunniest and warmest of November days, with a perfect pink sky at the end of the sunset. Thank you Jamie! I think you and your adorable family are great!
The D. Family… how do you describe them? Storybook, maybe? They are just a lovely family. I knew Jennifer back from my Freshmen year of college. We were placed on the same dorm floor. Jen was the girl with the prettiest room on Walden 1. She was always chic, and stylish, and still is. She is also sweet and comfortable, which is a nice combination with the first traits. I was excited to capture this beautiful family on camera!
From the moment I got an email from Melanie, I knew I would like her. She is a sunny person:) Combine that with dimples on rosy cheeks, eyes as blue as pools of water… and you’ve got the rest of Marc & Melanie’s little brood of boys. They are simply scrumptious. I enjoyed photographing the whole family on their own farm. Rural shoots are a favorite of mine anyway, and this family was lovely to work with.
I feel so privileged to have the job I have every day, but days like the session with the A. family it is an even greater feeling. Jennifer (mom) contacted me a few weeks ago, and told me she would like some family pictures. Normal enough. Then she told me the story of how they had been searching for the “right” photographer to do these, because dad (Chester) has ALS, and actually went into cardiac arrest last year, so they wanted to capture these special moments with him, because they don’t take advantage of any day. Wow. This family loves each other. It was fun seeing their dynamic, and how they really do have a tenderness about them. Love it. I hope you enjoy these photos that we captured in their own backyard!!
I have known Jessica, Kyndra & Kayla’s mommy, since college days. Me and Jess used to do almost everything together, and we would spend time over coffee talking about boys, our futures, and what was to be. Fast forward (years!!) and we are THERE. She now is a wife with two beautiful babies (as you can see below). She was in town for a couple of days, so we just had to get together and have a mini session with the girls in their Tinkerbell halloween outfits. I can’t get over how cute these little chicas are! I hope you enjoy their scrumptious little faces as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
Samantha and Luke are great kids. I mean the kind of kids everyone wants. They are polite, adorable and smart. Samantha and Luke were actually in my sister’s wedding when they were much smaller… just growing out of their baby-faces. I’ve known them long enough to see them becoming young adults before my eyes, and their parents should be proud of the people they are becoming.
We decided to do their mini session for the “Christmas Cards” in their back yard. So here it is… a little sun, some gorgeous trees, two awesome kids, and of course… some leaf throwing!
These are my favorite little guys in the world… they are my nephews! Of course, I’m a little biased, but I think they are simply scrumptious. I love these two, and I hope you love their sweet little christmas portraits as much as I enjoyed taking them.
